Friendzy: Building Faith-Filled Friendships & Strong Character
At St. Joseph Catholic School, we believe that educating the whole child means nurturing not only academic growth, but also spiritual, emotional, and social development. Through our partnership with Friendzy, a biblically-based social-emotional learning program, students participate in weekly lessons designed to help them grow in character, develop healthy relationships, and practice Christ-centered virtues.
Friendzy Social Emotional Learning Program
Friendzy lessons are woven throughout our school culture and provide students with practical tools to:
Recognize and manage their emotions
Build positive friendships and relationships
Practice kindness, empathy, and forgiveness
Resolve conflicts in a respectful and Christ-like manner
Develop leadership, responsibility, and compassion for others
All St. Joseph Catholic School faculty and staff are trained in the Friendzy approach so that our entire school community uses consistent language and strategies when supporting students. Friendzy principles are incorporated into classroom discussions, student interactions, discipline practices, and conflict resolution conversations, helping students learn how to repair relationships, make responsible choices, and live out our Catholic values.
Partnering with Families
We believe character formation is strongest when schools and families work together. Throughout the year, families receive Friendzy family letters and conversation cards with discussion prompts and activities designed to extend classroom lessons into the home. These resources provide opportunities for parents and caregivers to continue meaningful conversations about faith, friendships, emotions, and character development.
By partnering with Friendzy, St. Joseph Catholic School continues to foster a community where students feel known, valued, and supported as they grow into compassionate disciples of Christ.
